K.C. Raniero

Teaches Pop, R&B, Indie/Alternative, Songwriting, and Performance

K.C. Raniero is a Brooklyn-based singer, songwriter, and pianist. Referring to her own genre as “gothic r&b”, her debut album, “Toxic Phantom”, was released on Halloween 2021. The album achieved international radio play and was promoted on 2 national tours: “The Toxic Phantom” tour and the “Toxic Phantom: The B-Side Tour.”

Having appeared in 7 off-Broadway productions, K.C. got her start in musical theater and is a classically trained singer. However, she always gravitated more heavily toward rock and pop music, with her influences ranging from Taylor Swift to pop punk bands like Paramore, Yellowcard, My Chemical Romance, and Waterparks.

After graduating from Temple University, K.C. challenged herself to write 100 songs within 1 calendar year. She ended up writing about 300 songs and learning how to mix, master, and produce her own music during this time period. After completing the challenge, she released 24 instrumental EPs and 1 instrumental LP under a pseudonym.

Since finishing the second promotional tour for her album, K.C. has been writing and recording her sophomore album while performing at venues including The Bowery Electric, Rockwood Music Hall, Pianos, East Village Art Collection, Heaven Can Wait, Wonderville, Rubulad, The Mr. Roboto Project, The Grape Room, Sundown Bar, Under St. Marks, Broadway Comedy Club, The Producers Club, Parkside Lounge, The Players Theater, Shrine, and Sounds of Brazil. She has performed alongside Jamal Corrie of The Voice (Season 22), Eyeglasses (cellist for Josh Groban), Cassandra Jenkins (as seen on Late Night with Seth Myers), Kyle Duke of BRKN LOVE, VIAL, and Yvng Swag of Wild N’ Out.

K.C. began giving private music lessons in college, and she spent last summer as a summer camp music and theater director for Mainstages LLC. K.C. believes that every student has potential, and her primary focus as a teacher is identifying and building upon the strengths of every student. She is excited to meet you and to help you in finding your voice as you become more comfortable in expressing yourself and grow into the most confident performer that you can be!

K.C. loves teaching all different genres of music and is excited to work with students of all ages. She looks forward to being able to cultivate and inspire the next generation of vocalists, songwriters and musicians at The Voice Academy NYC.

K.C. will be teaching voice, song performance, piano and songwriting and is available for in person and online lessons.
