BECKY CROSBY– TEACHES POP,ROCK, R&B, SINGER/SONGWRITER, AND MUSICAL THEATER

Becky Crosby

Becky Crosby is a singer-songwriter, performer and educator originally from New Jersey. She has been performing onstage for over 12 years at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Count Basie Theater, The Stone Pony, Pianos and Webster Hall. She is a recent graduate of the music conservatory at Purchase College, where she majored in Jazz Voice.

While in college, Becky was awarded the Manitou Jazz Scholarship for her hard work and performance. In school, she became well-versed in performance, arranging, band leading and jazz vocal technique. Prior to college, Becky was classically trained at a pre-conservatory program at a performing arts high school in New Jersey, where she had the opportunity to perform in choirs all around the east coast.

Although she is trained in jazz and classical performance, Becky has a love of contemporary music. She grew up performing rock, pop, r&b and alternative music in multiple private music schools and original bands. She uses her extensive musical experience to create her own unique sound as a solo artist, backed by a band of funk/rock musicians. She also performs as a session musician in multiple projects as a guitarist and pianist. In 2021, she released her debut EP, Laugh It Off, and began performing her original music all over the tri-state area.

Becky loves teaching all different genres of music and is excited to work with students of all ages. She looks forward to being able to cultivate and inspire the next generation of vocalists, songwriters and musicians at The Voice Academy NYC. Becky will be teaching voice, piano and guitar and is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays for in person and online lessons.
